What you can ask Eddie to do

What Eddie can do

Eddie edits by understanding your footage and transcript, then acting on your instructions. You can ask it to:

• Build and refine a cut from your transcript
• Add b-roll, titles, captions and motion graphics
• Remove filler words and silences, adjust pacing
• Stabilize shaky footage, crop/reframe for social
• Color grade the edit
• Generate music or an AI voice-over from a script
• Sync and switch multicam angles
• Export to a finished MP4 or hand off to your NLE

What Eddie can't do (yet)

A few requests come up that aren't supported by any current tool, so it's worth knowing upfront:

• Background removal / green-screen cutout — Eddie can't isolate people from their background (no matting or segmentation tool). Cropping or color grading can help visually, but true background removal needs a compositing tool like Premiere, Resolve or After Effects.
• Video upscaling / resolution enhancement — Eddie renders and exports at your source footage's native resolution; it doesn't have an upscaler to increase quality beyond what was shot.
• Audio noise reduction / voice cleanup — there's no built-in tool to clean up background noise or enhance voice clarity in a recording.
• Style transforms (e.g., converting real footage into an anime-style look) — Eddie doesn't have AI stylization or video-to-anime filters. It can approximate a stylistic feel using real tools like color grading and bold captions, but it won't redraw or restyle the footage itself.

If you ask for one of these, Eddie will say so directly rather than fake a result, and may suggest the closest achievable alternative.
