Can you keep editing after you export?
Exporting a project doesn't lock it — you can keep editing and export again whenever you like.
Exporting doesn't finalize your edit
When you export from Eddie — whether that's an MP4 render, or an NLE hand-off like FCPXML, Premiere XML, EDL, or OTIO — you're generating a snapshot of the edit as it currently stands. The edit itself stays fully live and editable inside Eddie afterward. Nothing about exporting locks, archives, or closes out the project.
Making more changes after exporting
You can go back into the project, keep prompting Eddie, add or remove content, adjust pacing, swap b-roll, and so on, exactly as you would with any other edit. There's no special "unlock" step required.
Exporting again
Once you've made further changes, you can export again — the new export will reflect the current state of the edit, not the version you exported before. Each export is generated fresh at the time you request it, so earlier exports won't automatically update, but you're free to re-export as often as you need.
Credits
See How credits and billing work for details on what actions in Eddie consume credits. Continuing to edit after an export doesn't retroactively change or lock in anything about credits already spent.
