Can you add more footage to a project, and how big can an import be?
Yes — add media to an existing project at any time, with the same 1,000-file-per-import limit as a new project.
Adding more footage later
Yes, you can add more footage to a project whenever you like — importing doesn't happen only once. In the project sidebar, click + Add next to Media, drag in your files (or pick a cloud source), and press Import. The new clips join your existing footage, play alongside it, and become usable for b-roll, multicam syncing and prompting as soon as they finish processing.
See Add media to an existing project for the full steps.
How much you can import in one go
- On the web: up to 1,000 files in a single import.
- In the desktop app: up to 20 hours of footage in one import, and up to 4 hours for any single file.
- One project can hold up to 100 hours of video in total — add more over time with repeated imports.
If you have more than 1,000 files to bring in at once, split them across two or more imports — each one can go into the same project.
Cost
Adding media later is billed the same way as a first import: 250 credits per hour of footage, in 15-minute blocks, with a 63-credit minimum per import. Only the new files are charged — footage already in the project isn't billed again.
