Music, voice-over and audio
Generate a soundtrack that auto-ducks under speech, add AI voice-over clips, and know how source audio travels.
Sound is half the edit. Eddie can generate a soundtrack, speak a voice-over, and it handles the source audio from your shoot.
Add music
Prompt: "Add upbeat background music." Eddie generates a soundtrack matched to your description — genre, mood, tempo, how it should evolve — and attaches it to the edit's music track. One soundtrack per edit; asking again replaces it.
Auto-ducking
The music automatically ducks under speech — it drops when someone talks and swells back in the gaps — in both the player preview and MP4 renders. You can tune it: "duck the music less", "no ducking", "let the music swell in the outro."
Voice-over
Ask for spoken lines and Eddie generates AI voice-over clips placed where you say: "add a voice-over intro that says…". An edit can carry several — intro, section links, outro.
Source audio
On import, Eddie detects multi-track audio (for example a lav mic and a camera mic) and mixes it for editing. On export, Final Cut preserves all source audio tracks; Premiere brings the primary track. See Export to your editor.
Tips
- Direct music by feel and section, not decibels: "warmer, slower, builds gently."
- Run filler and silence removal before layering music, so the ducking follows clean speech.
Note: music and voice-over generation are paid operations and use credits.
