Get notified when your project is ready

Importing footage is real work — transcription, analysis, the lot — and a big batch can take a while. You don't have to sit and watch the progress bar. Eddie can tell you the moment your project is ready.

On your iPhone (the ping)

If you have the Eddie iPhone app installed and signed in, you're already covered: your phone gets a ping when an import finishes, when an edit you asked for is done, and when a video finishes rendering. Nothing to set up — the import screen will simply confirm "your iPhone will get a ping".

The ready email

Every import you start gets one email when the project is ready. It shows a frame from your footage, a button straight back to the project, and ideas for what to ask Eddie first. If some files did not import, or imported with a problem, the email lists them. One email per project, never a drip.

The import screen also offers "Email me when it's ready". Choosing it does not add a second email. You can close the tab either way — the email finds you.

Two cases send no ready email:

• Eddie built an edit for you as part of the import. You get the email about the edit instead.
• The import came from a text conversation with Eddie. Eddie tells you in that conversation.

Changed your mind?

Every choice here is reversible:

• Said "no thanks" on the import screen? That only applies to that one import — your next import offers again.
• Don't want ready emails? Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can manage all email categories in Email preferences.
• Turned down notifications on your iPhone? Open the app's gear menu → Notifications and switch them back on (if you also declined at the iOS level, the toggle sends you to iPhone Settings to allow them).
• Want the phone pings to stop? Same toggle, other direction.

What exactly does Eddie notify about?

Only work you asked for: an import you started, an edit you prompted, a render you requested, or someone joining a project you shared. No streaks, no marketing pings, no "we miss you".
