Make and share your own recipe

Save a run as a recipe or make one on the recipes page, pin a Style, then share a link so another workspace can add its own copy.

A recipe saves how you like a video made, so anyone in your workspace can make it again. You can share a recipe with people outside your workspace too.

To start from a ready-made recipe instead, open the recipe gallery. See Use a recipe from the gallery.

Make a recipe from a run

  1. In a project, find the run that gave you the result you want.
  2. Select Save as recipe on it.
  3. Check the name and the blanks Eddie suggests. Change them if you want.
  4. Save.

Make a recipe on the recipes page

  1. Open app.heyeddie.ai/recipes.
  2. Select Create recipe. In some workspaces the button reads Create interview workflow.
  3. If Eddie offers starter templates, choose one, or start from scratch.
  4. Write the brief and the blanks.
  5. Under Style, pick a Style, or None to let Eddie choose the look for each edit. Each card shows a sample frame in that Style.
  6. Select Save recipe.

Pin a Style

A recipe can pin one Style. Eddie then applies that Style before it adds any title, lower third, stat or caption, so every run looks the same. See every Style on the Styles page, and read Choose a Style for your graphics.

To change the Style later, open the recipe on the recipes page, select Edit, and pick another Style.

Share a recipe

  1. Open app.heyeddie.ai/recipes.
  2. On the recipe, select Share.
  3. Read the brief and the default values. Remove any client information you do not want to share.
  4. Select Create share link, then Copy link.
  5. Send the link.

Anyone with the link can read the recipe, without an account. To keep it, they sign in, choose a workspace and select Add to my workspace. They get an independent copy.

What a shared recipe carries

  • Copied: the title, the brief, the blanks and their defaults, the workflow settings and the pinned Style.
  • Not copied: your Backgrounder folders, brand kit, saved looks and templates, your projects and your name. If the recipe needs a Backgrounder or a brand kit, the recipient picks one from their own workspace.

A link holds the recipe as it was when you shared it. If you edit the recipe, select Publish a new snapshot to share the new version. Older links keep working until you turn them off.

Good to know

  • Saving and sharing a recipe is free. Running one is billed like any other prompt run.
  • Links are not listed anywhere, but anyone who has a link can forward it.
  • Only editing recipes can be shared. Saved looks and motion-graphic templates cannot.
