Motion graphics: custom animated graphics and templates

Motion graphics are animated overlays that go beyond a plain title card. You add them the same way you direct everything else: by describing what you want.

Create a graphic from a prompt, use an Eddie template, or add your own Adobe motion graphics through Backgrounder.

Prompt-authored motion graphics

Describe any graphic, such as a kinetic headline, an animated stat, a logo reveal or a lower-third with its own motion, and Eddie designs it from scratch. These graphics:

• live on their own MG lane on the timeline, added with its + button or by asking in Prompt Eddie
• can place your logo and images by name
• are refined with the ✨ on the clip, and can sit behind the speaker
• can be saved as workspace templates
• work in graphics-only projects with no footage
• export to MP4 at up to 4K

Each graphic is billed like a normal prompt.

Template graphics

For the three classics, Eddie uses ready-made templates:

• Kinetic title: an animated headline with an optional sub-line, for openers and section breaks.
• Lower-third: a name-and-role card that slides in, on the left or right.
• Stat callout: a big number with a label and an optional count-up animation (for example 0 to 50%). Give it an accent color to match your brand.

Ask for them

• "Add a kinetic title 'Launch Day' with the sub 'Behind the scenes'."
• "Lower-third: name and title, on the right, when the speaker first appears."
• "Stat callout counting up to 50% with a green accent when she says the number."

On-brand type

With a brand kit attached, ask Eddie to use your brand font and template graphics render in your typeface. Prompt-authored graphics use the kit's colours and font automatically.

Where they live and export

• Template graphics sit on the titles track above the base clips. They preview live in the player and bake into MP4 renders, with the animation and count-up included. They also carry into NLE exports as overlay clips you can restyle.
• Prompt-authored graphics sit on the MG lane and bake into MP4 exports. NLE exports (Premiere, Resolve, Final Cut, Avid) don't include them yet; the Export menu notes this on those options. Export an MP4 to keep them.
