Deleting a project removes the whole project for everyone: its edits, its footage in Eddie, its share links, its review links and its downloads. It cannot be undone from the app.

To remove one edit instead, ask Eddie to delete it — a deleted edit can be brought back. To remove one imported file, see Remove a source from a project.

Delete a project

  1. Open your project list. Hover over the project's card and click the trash icon.
  2. Read what deleting will do, then continue.
  3. Type the project's name exactly as it is shown (capital letters count), then click Delete permanently. If the project has no name, type delete.

Cancel at either step and nothing changes.

Who can delete a project

  • The person who created the project can always delete it.
  • In a shared workspace, the workspace owner can delete any project in it.
  • Anyone else who clicks the trash icon is told that only the workspace and project owners can delete it.

What happens to your files

Eddie deletes only its own copies. The original files on your computer, drive or cloud storage are not touched.

Credits already spent on the project (imports, transcription, analysis) are not refunded when it is deleted.
