Find a project's share ID or link

Every project's shareable link contains a unique ID you can use to identify or open it directly.

Every Eddie project has a unique share ID embedded in its shareable link — the part of the URL after /share/, like app.heyeddie.ai/share/borderless-credit-7Y2StaxW. This is what's meant by a project's "share ID."

Where to find it

  1. Open the project you want.
  2. Open the Export menu or the Share panel (top-right of the project).
  3. Copy the share link — the ID is the unique slug in that URL.

You can also get it from any link Eddie gives you after building or updating an edit — the "Open in the timeline" links it posts in chat carry the same share ID.

What it's used for

  • Sharing a view-only (or, if you invite someone by email, comment/edit) link to the project — see Share a project.
  • Identifying which project a link or notification refers to, since the ID is unique per project.
  • Jumping straight back into a specific edit — links can include ?view=timeline&edit=<edit name> to open a particular cut directly.

Good to know

  • The share ID doesn't change once a project is created, even if you rename the project.
  • Anyone with the link can view the project if link sharing is turned on; for comment or edit access, invite that person by email instead — see Share a project: roles, credits and invites.
