Download a single clip from your project

There's no direct download button on a source or b-roll clip — put it alone in a new edit and render that as an MP4 instead.

Sometimes you just want one clip out of your project — a generated b-roll take, or a single source file — without exporting the whole edit. Eddie has no direct "download this clip" button on a source in the media list or b-roll bin, but you can still get the file out in a couple of minutes.

The reliable way: put it in its own edit

  1. Ask Eddie to put the clip on its own in a new edit — for example: "Put this b-roll clip alone in a new edit called 'Export clip'."
  2. Open that new edit and export it as an MP4, or ask Eddie to render it.
  3. You get a normal download link for just that clip, and your original edit is untouched.

This works for any single source: a generated b-roll take, a piece of stock footage you imported, or one camera angle.

Generated assets

If the clip came from a generation tool — AI b-roll, a motion graphic, generated music or voice-over — check Export ▸ All export options… ▸ Generated assets. This is where Eddie's own generated files are collected for download, separate from your source footage.

What doesn't work

There's currently no button on an individual source or b-roll clip in the media list that downloads just that file. If you're looking for a quicker path than building a one-clip edit, there isn't one yet.
