Edit like the GOATs

The best editors, directors and creators work to rules they can name. Eddie’s agents carry those rules into your project. Add one to your workspace, mention it in the prompt box, and it reads your transcripts, watches your cut and answers in its own voice. Some hand back notes. Some build the cut.

The whole roster, and it keeps growing. Open one to see what it does, what it knows and what it is allowed to touch.

How an agent works

  1. Add the agent to your workspace from its page here.
  2. Open a project in Eddie and type @ followed by the agent’s name in the prompt box.
  3. Ask for what you want. The agent reads the project, then replies — with notes on your timeline, or with a new edit, depending on what it is allowed to do.

An agent that cuts always makes a new edit. It never overwrites the one you were working on.

What each kind of agent does

This is the difference that decides whether an agent touches your timeline. Follow a heading to see that group on its own page.

Coach

Reviews and advises, never cuts

Coaches teach while they review. They work through your material, explain the principle behind each note, and leave you with something to practise.

Critic

Reviews and advises, never cuts

Critics review and do not build. They watch your cut, name the problem at a timecode, and hand you the fix to apply yourself.

Editor

Builds a new edit for you

Editors build. They read your project and put a cut together, so you start from a rough cut instead of a blank timeline.

Editor + coach

Builds a new edit for you

These agents build and explain at the same time. They make the cut, then talk you through the reasoning behind each decision.

Strategist

Reviews and advises, never cuts

Strategists work on the video before it exists — the idea, the packaging and the first minute — rather than on the timeline.

Every agent, by the work it is for

Sorted by the kind of video the agent is built for. Follow a heading to see that group on its own page.

Cinematic & b-roll

Agents for the coverage around your interview or story: b-roll, transitions, and the shots that make a piece feel made rather than captured.

Cinematic & visual

Agents that work on the image itself — scale, silence, and the tension a frame holds before anyone says a word.

Cinematography

Agents that judge light, lens and camera movement, and tell you what the photography is doing for the story.

Directing & performance

Agents that work on what happens in front of the camera: register, coverage, staging, and the performance you actually captured.

Documentary & film

Agents for real-world material — archive, interviews, narration, and the question of what is true in the footage you have.

Editing & film language

Agents that read a cut as language: rhythm, the image between two shots, and where a beautiful shot stalls the story.

Editing & sound

Agents that work on the mechanics of the cut and the mix — where the cut lands, how many layers the track carries, and why the timing feels wrong.

Events & client work

Agents for paid work with one shot at the day: events, corporate shoots, and everything a client will notice first.

Film & narrative editing

Agents for scripted and narrative cutting — pacing, restraint, and the structural pass that decides what leaves the film.

Film craft

Agents that name the craft principle behind a moment, so you can apply it deliberately instead of by feel.

K-pop & music videos

Agents for high-energy music video work: transition vocabulary, choreography-led cutting, and spectacle that builds to a chorus.

Music videos & commercial

Agents for music videos and commercial edits, where rhythm against the track decides whether the piece lands.

Shorts & vertical

Agents for short-form vertical video, where the first line decides the view and the ending decides the loop.

Story & script

Agents that work on the story under the edit — structure, character logic, argument and the promise your opening makes.

Wedding films

Agents for wedding and event films, built around the vows, the toasts and the reactions people came to see.

YouTube & creator video

Agents for creator video: packaging, hooks, retention, and the review pass before you publish.
