About Eddie and Premiere Pro

What is Eddie AI?
Eddie is an AI video editor. You give it footage, ask for the edit in plain words, and it builds the timeline. You can finish there, or export the edit to Premiere Pro as a project file.
Does Eddie replace Premiere Pro?
It can, for a lot of jobs: Eddie cuts, captions, adds b-roll and music, and renders an MP4. Editors who finish in Premiere use Eddie for the first cut and send the timeline back to Premiere.
How does an Eddie edit get into Premiere Pro?
Open the edit, click Export and choose Premiere. You get a Premiere project (.prproj) or the older Premiere XML. In the desktop app, Send to Premiere Pro builds the edit inside Premiere through Eddie's panel, which the app installs for you. If you imported the footage through the desktop app, the timeline points at your original camera files, so Premiere relinks to them. If you uploaded on the web or pulled from cloud storage, it points at Eddie's proxy media; relink to those, not to the camera originals.
