How to collect files and archive a Premiere Pro project
Short answer
Choose File > Project Manager, select the sequences, choose Collect Files and Copy to New Location, pick a destination and click OK. Premiere copies the project and its media into one folder.
In Premiere Pro
01
Save the project
Save, and close any sequences you don't want to archive so you can see what you're selecting.
02
Open Project Manager
Choose File > Project Manager and tick the sequences to include.
03
Choose Collect Files and Copy
Under Resulting Project, choose Collect Files and Copy to New Location. Choose Consolidate and Transcode instead if you want smaller files with handles.
04
Set the options
Tick Exclude Unused Clips to drop media the sequences don't use, and set handles if you trim. Click Calculate to see the size.
05
Pick the destination and run it
Choose the destination folder and click OK. Open the new project from that folder to check nothing is offline.
- Project Manager does not collect After Effects comps or some third-party plug-in media. Copy those by hand.
Eddie AI
Do it in Eddie
An edit made in Eddie stays in Eddie after you export it.
Exporting doesn't lock an Eddie project. You can keep changing the edit and export again, and a deleted edit can be restored by asking for it. In Premiere, archive the exported project with Project Manager like any other.

Questions
- Does Collect Files include fonts?
- No. Send font files separately.
- What is the difference between Collect and Consolidate?
- Collect copies the full source files. Consolidate and Transcode trims or converts them to save space.
