How to share a Premiere Pro edit for review
Short answer
Use Premiere's built-in Frame.io panel to upload the sequence, then share the review link. Comments appear in the panel and as markers on the timeline.
In Premiere Pro
01
Open the Frame.io panel
Choose Window > Review with Frame.io (the name varies by version) and sign in with your Adobe ID.
02
Upload the sequence
Choose the project and folder, pick a preset, and upload the sequence.
03
Share the link
In Frame.io, create a share link for the asset and send it.
04
Work through comments
Comments show in the panel with their timecode. Click one to jump the playhead to it, and import them as markers.
05
Upload a new version
Upload the next cut onto the same asset so reviewers see version 2 next to version 1.
Eddie AI
Do it in Eddie
Eddie sends edits to Frame.io and can act on the comments.
Choose Export > Send to Frame.io, with the option to include Premiere XML. Comments sync back to Eddie for 14 days per send, and the spark on a comment asks Eddie to make the change. Comments then arrive in Premiere as markers on the exported timeline.
Back to Premiere
Open the edit, click Export and choose Premiere. You get a Premiere project (.prproj) or the older Premiere XML. In the desktop app, Send to Premiere Pro builds the edit inside Premiere through Eddie's panel, which the app installs for you.
If you imported the footage through the desktop app, the timeline points at your original camera files, so Premiere relinks to them. If you uploaded on the web or pulled from cloud storage, it points at Eddie's proxy media; relink to those, not to the camera originals.
