How to install Motion Graphics templates in Premiere Pro
Short answer
Open the Essential Graphics panel, click Install Motion Graphics template (the icon at the bottom right of Browse), and choose the .mogrt file. It appears in your local templates.
In Premiere Pro
01
Open Essential Graphics
Choose Window > Essential Graphics and open Browse (or the Graphics templates panel in newer versions).
02
Install the .mogrt
Click the Install Motion Graphics template icon and choose the file. Or drag the .mogrt straight onto the timeline.
03
Find it
Look under My Templates or Local Templates Folder.
04
Use it
Drag it onto the timeline, then edit its text, colors and options in Properties or Essential Graphics > Edit.
- Templates made in After Effects may need After Effects installed for some options. Templates made in Premiere don't.
Eddie AI
Do it in Eddie
Eddie has its own templates and prompt-made motion graphics, with different hand-off rules.
Eddie's templates (kinetic titles, lower thirds and count-up stat callouts) carry into Premiere exports as overlay clips you can restyle. Motion graphics you describe in a prompt take 30 to 90 seconds to make and use about 60 credits each; they aren't included in Premiere exports yet, so render an MP4 to keep them.
Back to Premiere
Open the edit, click Export and choose Premiere. You get a Premiere project (.prproj) or the older Premiere XML. In the desktop app, Send to Premiere Pro builds the edit inside Premiere through Eddie's panel, which the app installs for you.
If you imported the footage through the desktop app, the timeline points at your original camera files, so Premiere relinks to them. If you uploaded on the web or pulled from cloud storage, it points at Eddie's proxy media; relink to those, not to the camera originals.
