How to fix export errors in Premiere Pro
Short answer
Switch Encoding to Software Encoding in the export's Video settings and try again. If it still fails, find the frame where it stops and replace or re-render that clip, then clear the media cache.
In Premiere Pro
01
Use software encoding
In Export mode, open Video > Encoding Settings and set Performance to Software Encoding.
02
Find where it fails
Note the time where the export stopped. Look for an effect, a corrupt clip or a variable frame rate phone clip there.
03
Fix that clip
Disable effects on it, replace it, or transcode it to ProRes or DNxHR and relink.
04
Clear the cache
Open Settings > Media Cache and click Delete next to Remove Media Cache Files, then restart Premiere.
05
Export to another drive
Check there's enough free space, and try exporting to a different disk.
Eddie AI
Do it in Eddie
If the edit is in Eddie, it renders in the cloud.
Eddie's cloud MP4 renders don't use your computer's encoder. One render runs at a time per workspace, up to 60 minutes long.
