Interview highlights
A tight highlights edit from one or more sit-down interviews: a hook, the three or four strongest points, and a clean ending, with a lower third for each speaker.
Made for: Corporate video teams, agencies and in-house producers who cut the same kind of interview every week.
What it needs
- Footage
- One or more interview recordings (A-roll)
- Optional b-roll of the people, place or product
- Backgrounder
- Names, job titles and spellings for the people on camera, so lower thirds are right the first time.
- Brand kit
- Optional. If the project has a brand kit, its font and colors win over the Style.
- You fill in
- Target length — a number from 1 to 15 minutes
- Who is it for, and what must it say? — your own words
- Video shape — Landscape (16:9) / Vertical (9:16) / Square (1:1) / Portrait (4:5)
- Captions — On / Off
- Music — Music bed / No music
What Eddie does
- 1Read every transcriptEddie reads each interview in full and notes the quotable answers for each speaker.
- 2Pick the spineIt chooses an opening hook, three or four main points and a closing line that fit the target length.
- 3Build the cutIt builds the edit to your target with natural pacing, keeping complete thoughts and cutting filler.
- 4Name the speakersIt applies the Style, then adds a lower third with each confirmed name and title.
- 5FinishIt places relevant b-roll over long answers, adds captions if you asked, and shares a review link.
The Style it uses
A crisp sans on deep navy cards with a sky-blue accent and quiet captions.
Titles, lower thirds, stats and captions use this Style. If your project has a brand kit, its font and colors win.
What it costs
100–490 credits a run
Worked out for a project with about 1 hour of footage. A run is priced on the work Eddie does, so most runs land inside this range, and footage length changes it only a little.
- Importing that footage is separate: 250 credits, at 250 credits an hour. Footage already in the project is not charged again.
- Downloading the result as an MP4 is free for the first 10 each day, then 50 credits. An export to Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro is 100 credits.
- Adding the recipe to your workspace is free.
The brief Eddie follows
This is the recipe's prompt. The parts in {curly brackets} are the blanks you fill in when you run it. You can edit the brief after you add the recipe to your workspace.
Interview highlights
Build a {target_minutes}-minute interview highlights edit from this project in {aspect_ratio}. Audience and purpose: {editorial_focus}. Before you cut, read every interview transcript in full. Structure: open on the single strongest line as a hook (under 15 seconds), then three or four main points in a logical order, then a closing line that lands the message. Keep complete thoughts; never join half-sentences into a claim the speaker did not make. Cut filler words, false starts and repeated answers. Build it with create_edit_result at the target length with natural pacing. Speakers: add a lower third with add_graphic the first time each speaker appears, with their name and title. Use only names, titles, numbers and claims that are in the footage, my notes or the project's Backgrounder. If a name or title is uncertain, ask me before you put it on screen. B-roll: if the project has b-roll, place it with add_brolls over long answers and over any jump cut, and only where it shows what is being said. Do not use stock footage. Captions: {captions}. If on, use add_captions with the documentary look. Music: {music}. If a music bed is used, add it with add_music_track, low and ducked under speech. Style: call set_style_pack with pack "pro-clear" as soon as the edit exists, before you place any title, lower third, stat or caption. Do not switch to another pack. When you finish, tell me the finished length against the target, list each item above as done or not done with the reason, and create a review link with share_review_link.
