Eddie AI attended NAB 2026 and came away with Best in Show from RedShark News, hundreds of new users, and feedback from editors that made it all worth it. Here's the full story.

Honestly? We didn't know what to expect at NAB 2026.

We'd done the prep work -- built the demos, rehearsed the talking points, sourced the booth materials. But there's always a gap between preparation and reality at a show like this, and we'd been around long enough not to make predictions. We set up at Booth N1672 in the North Hall and waited to see who'd show up.

The answer: hundreds of people.

The editors who already knew us

What struck me first were the Eddie users who came by just to say hello. These weren't curious newcomers β€” they were people who'd been using the product for years, and they had a lot to say.

"I don't dread the logging anymore. I actually just… start editing now."

That kind of feedback doesn't get old. It's the exact thing we set out to do.

Eddie handles the parts of editing that eat your time without feeding your soul β€” logging your A-roll, understanding your B-roll through computer vision, suggesting where footage should go, managing multicam setups, generating multilingual transcripts. The goal has always been the same: make the machine do the mechanical work so the editor can focus on storytelling. Hearing a long-time user say we'd actually delivered on that β€” in those words, at a tradeshow booth β€” was something.

The editors who had never heard of us

Then there were the people who wandered over with no prior knowledge of Eddie at all.

Editors crowded around the screen, grabbed the keyboard, asked sharp questions. Some came back the next day. A few told us they'd heard about Eddie from a friend and wanted to see it for themselves β€” and by day three, several of them had already signed up or told us they were about to.

What clicked for most of them was the same thing: Eddie doesn't just transcribe your footage and leave you with a wall of text. It understands the edit. It knows what's A-roll and what's B-roll. It helps you build a multicam podcast sequence. It exports directly to Premiere, Resolve, and Final Cut Pro via XML β€” no intermediate steps, no proprietary formats, no re-learning your workflow. It meets editors exactly where they already work.

Shamir's talk

On April 19th, our CEO Shamir Allibhai gave a talk at the Tech Chat Theater β€” "AI Agents for Video Editing." I wasn't in a seat. I was standing at the back of the crowd, watching the room.

About a hundred people came. And Shamir didn't just talk about AI β€” he demoed it, live, in front of an audience that included a lot of skeptics. I spent that 20 minutes moving through the crowd, asking people around me what they thought. The reaction was consistent: seeing it work in real time did something that no marketing copy ever could.

A lot of people came to find us at the booth after.

Best in Show

By the time RedShark News gave us their Best in Show recognition, we were already overwhelmed β€” in the best possible way. The booth had been busy every day. The demos had been running back to back. New users were signing up in real time. And then this.

It felt like the room agreeing with what our users had already been telling us.

What I took away

Existing customers showed up and said hi in person for the first time. That part hit different.

A lot of what we do is heads down, building in a bubble. NAB was proof that it's paying off β€” not in metrics or dashboards, but in the face of an editor who didn't dread their next project anymore.

By the end of the week I was exhausted in a way I haven't been in a long time. Not enough sleep, too much time on my feet, too many conversations to count. But also genuinely exhilarated.

We came to Las Vegas not knowing what to expect. We left with a Best in Show award, a lot of new users, and a much clearer sense of why we're doing this.

If you met us at the booth -- thank you. If you haven't tried Eddie yet, there's no better time :)

In Summary

Eddie AI attended NAB 2026 and had an amazing show. Hundreds of editors visited our booth, many signing up on the spot. Our CEO Shamir demoed live to a crowd of nearly 100 at the Tech Chat Theater. Long-time users came by just to say thank you. And RedShark News named us Best in Show. We came in with low expectations and left exhilarated.
