Send an Eddie edit to Premiere Pro

Open Export and choose Premiere Pro under Send to. Eddie builds a .prproj project file with bins, crops, gains and multicam.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Here's the approach.

Open the edit, open Export, and click Premiere Pro under Send to. Your browser downloads a .prproj project file. The arrow beside the button offers Premiere XML for Premiere Pro 2018 and older.

If you imported through the desktop app, the project points to your original files. If you uploaded on the web, it points to Eddie's proxy copies.

  1. 01

    Open Export

Open the edit you want to hand over and open the Export menu. The edit needs at least one clip.

  2. 02

Click Premiere Pro under Send to

The button downloads a .prproj by default. It keeps bins, crops, clip gains, the audio channel layout and multicam.

  3. 03

Open the project in Premiere Pro

If the edit has captions, the download is a ZIP with the project and an SRT file.

  4. 04

Your own multicam clip: use Send to Premiere Pro in the desktop app

For a multicam clip you built in Premiere and imported, use Send to Premiere Pro in the Eddie desktop app with the Eddie extension running. It rebuilds the sequence against your own multicam clip.
