THE SHORT ANSWER
Here's the approach.
Open the edit, open Export, and click DaVinci Resolve under Send to. Your browser downloads a .drp that opens as a new Resolve project, with switchable multicam, dual-system sound and each clip's crop.
The arrow beside the button offers a Resolve FCPXML instead. It imports into a project you already have open and carries the motion ramp and levelled audio.
Step by step.
Eddie AI- 01
Open Export
Open the edit you want to hand over and open the Export menu.
- 02
Click DaVinci Resolve under Send to
The button downloads a .drp by default. Choose the FCPXML from the arrow if you want to import into an open project.
- 03
Open it in Resolve
The .drp opens as a new project. Captions arrive on a subtitle track. Neither file carries Eddie's color grade, so grade on Resolve's Color page.

Need review comments as markers?
A .drp holds no markers. Export the Resolve OTIO option as well, and Resolve imports each comment as a timeline marker.
