THE SHORT ANSWER
Here's the approach.
Install the Eddie AI AE extension from the Eddie desktop app. It is in beta for Media Composer 2024 and 2025, on Mac and Windows.
With Media Composer open and connected, send an edit to Avid the same way you send one to Premiere Pro or Resolve. Eddie builds a new sequence in your open project.
Step by step.
Eddie AI- 01
Install the extension
In the Eddie desktop app's import options, choose Avid Media Composer (beta) and click Install extension. Quit Media Composer first.
- 02
Connect
Open Media Composer and a project, then click Check connection in Eddie. Look for Eddie AI AE under Tools or Extensions.
- 03
Send the edit
Send the edit to Avid from Eddie. The new sequence appears in your open Media Composer project, not as a download.
